3. How can I trust you?

4. Why should I order from you guys? 
You can order your DIRECTV service from any retailer or directly from DIRECTV.  We disclose all necessary information so that you can make your own decision. We never mislead our customers.

6. Why do you need my Social Security Number?
DIRECTV needs your social security number for a minor credit check to set up your account. We guarantee that your personal information is confidential.

7. Can My Digital Video Recorder (DVR) record a show while I watch a different show?
Yes! Digital Video Recorders (DVR) are capable of recording up to 100 hours* of programming on a 120 GB hard-drive. It also includes Video-On-Demand Service that provides the ability to pause live TV, skip recorded commercials and create instant replays.

8. What if there are trees blocking the sky around my house?
As for the trees, the only way to check is to have an installer come out and survey the area. In some rare cases,
the trees do block the signal.

9. Who sends me my monthly bill?
Your monthly bill comes from DIRECTV.  

10. Can I get DIRECTV if I rent?
Yes. You need to have landlord permission.

11. Is there a contract to sign?
Yes. You need to sign a 24-month contract.  You must keep at least one qualified programming package for 24 months.

12. What are qualified programming packages?
FAMILY™ or higher; or Jadeworld® packaeg.

13. Is there an activation fee?
No. You have to sign up the 24-month contract.

14. I want International Programming. Is a second Dish required?
Depends on the packages you choose.

15. Where is my equipment coming from?
All equipment comes from DIRECTV.

16. Do I have to pay for equipment and installation? 
NOTE: if you are NOT signing up for the equipment upgrade offers, then you will have to pay for equipment leasing fees. You MUST be a new approved customer, subject to credit approval to get free installation up to 4 rooms. However you may need to pay a flat $19.95(+tax) delivery and handling fee. You may have to pay receiver upgrade fees.

17. Is there any hidden charge?
No!!! It does not matter who you order your DIRECTV system from, your monthly cost will be the same depending on your programming and equipment choices. Again, we do not charge you anything. DIRECTV processes your bills.

18. What if I move?
As long as you move within the United States, DIRECTV will move your system to your new home. Call DIRECTV for detail information before you move.

19. What if I cancel DIRECTV service prior to end of 24 months?
A cancellation fee equals to the lesser of $480 or $20 per month for each cancelled month of service will apply.

20. Do I have to return the equipment if I cancel the service?
Yes. Ask DIRECTV when you cancel.

21. Who will install my system?
DIRECTV installers will install your system. We set up your account and schedule your appointment.

22. Do you install on weekends?
Yes. You can schedule your appointment on Saturdays and Sundays.

23. How soon can you install my system?
If you are lucky you can get your system installed the next day. In select markets. Subject to availability. Usually we
install your system between 1 and 7 days.

24. How many rooms of equipment can I order?
You can order up to 4 rooms of standard receivers for free (new approved customers only, subject to credit approval). You will receive up to 4 remote controls. Each TV can play different channels. If you want to install more than 4 standard receivers, you may have to pay for the extra receivers and installation fees.

25. How much do I have to pay for extra receivers?
You have to pay lease fee $5.00/mo. for second and each additional receiver. 

26. How can I get my rebate? 
You need to submit rebate form by mail or online to get your promotion rebate credit and your equipment upgrade is instant. 

To make this process even easier for the customer, submit your email at the point of sale so you will receive an order confirmation via email. Then, you just need to click the link in the email which will automatically push you to http://www.directv.com/  to start the redemption process.
